Special elections will be held on Saturday, April 29th. There will be three items on the ballot that pertain to the Natchitoches Parish School Board. These items are in relation to millage tax renewals that will help improve Natchitoches Parish Schools. Please read each item below carefully:
- Parish-Wide School District (7.0 mills tax, 10 years)
- $2.8 million annually
- Purpose: This tax will provide additional support to public elementary and secondary schools by providing funds for construction, repairs, purchase of equipment and/or supplies and additional improvement.
- School District #9 Comprised of All City Schools (7.0 mills tax, 10 years)
- Approximately $1.6 million annually
- Purpose: This tax will provide funds for acquiring, constructing, improving, maintaining or operating public elementary and secondary schools.
- Consolidated School District #8 in Provencal (7.0 mills tax, 10 years)
- Approximately $60,000 annually
- Purpose: This tax will provide additional support to public elementary and secondary schools by funding the improvement, maintenance and operation of public school buildings.

Early Voting for all interested voters will be conducted in the Registrar of Voters Office located at 200 Church Street Rm #103 in the Natchitoches Parish Court House Building on Saturday April 15, 2023 through Saturday April 22, 2023 from 8:30 AM until 6:00 PM (Closed on Sunday, April 23, 2023).
Absentee Voting by mail is intended for voters who will be out of the Parish on Election Day and the week of Early Voting, or if a person is over age 65, or has a mobility impaired ID card (must provide copy).
