NATCHITOCHES, LOUISIANA – Natchitoches Central High School has officially named Brad Laird as the next Head Football Coach for the NCHS Chiefs for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
Coach Laird comes to Natchitoches Central with an impressive resume and a long history with the sport. Laird helped produce a 28-16 record with one playoff win in four seasons as head coach for Ruston High School.
An all-state quarterback in the state’s largest classification at Ruston, Laird was also the 1990 Superdome Classic MVP for the Bearcats’ unbeaten team that finished ranked No. 1 nationally by USA Today. He was inducted in the Louisiana High School Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. After leaving Ruston in 2016, he was hired by Northwestern State University and served as Head Football Coach for the Demons from 2017-2023.
Coach Laird will begin work immediately on the NCHS Football Program to get the team ready for the upcoming 2024 season.
