Northwestern State University's ADVANCE Program for Young Scholars, now celebrating its 34th year, will host its traditional residential program for academically motivated students on July 10, 2022 through July 30, 2022!
Students currently in grades 7 – 11 enroll in and complete one course during the three-week program and are in class for 108.5 hours. When students are not in class, the program offers a variety of social and recreational activities to ensure students make friends and have fun.
There is an online application on our website, http://advance.nsula.edu, making it easy for parents to apply on behalf of their children. A PDF link on our website provides course descriptions and prerequisites if required. After students apply, they must email or mail a copy of their most recent report card and state standardized test scores to the ADVANCE office to complete their application.

Program Dates: July 10 - July 30, 2022
Financial Aid Application Deadline: April 5, 2022
Student Application and Payment Deadline: May 3, 2022 (courses may be full by this date)
NSU and ADVANCE administrators believe there is still a need for bright students to attend a summer residential program and bond with others who share their desire to be academically challenged and have similar interests while having a great time!
