Agriculture students and FFA members at Lakeview Jr./Senior High School have been working on their individualized projects as part of their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE).
Of our graduating seniors, Emilee Bullock, just received an internship with Louisiana FFA for Agricultural Communications to extend her SAE. Also, Katie Bedgood began her Poultry SAE last year and has recently gathered her first eggs and will show her exhibition birds at the state fair. Lastly, Trinity Hayes has started a new SAE project by volunteering at Briarwood Nature Preserve to improve and maintain the Iris garden.
Through SAE’s, we encourage all students to experience the diversity of agriculture and develop job skills related to agricultural-related career pathways.
