2nd Grade had a surprise visitor today from Roy O Martin. Otis and his friend came by to read a story called “My Family Makes Board” and he even shared rice crispies!
Students with positive behavior for the first nine weeks were treated with a real magic show by Bec-O the Magician on Friday afternoon. Everyone had a blast even the teachers and parents!

The raffle for baskets will continue until the Friday we get out before Thanksgiving break! Please support by purchasing raffle tickets.

Kindergarten is leaning about weather in reading. We read about moisture and then did an activity with a cloud and raindrops to see how when clouds get heavy it begins to rain. After our activity we drew and wrote about our observations.
These two ladies are hands down the best there is!!

We had such a blast at the Natchitoches Parish Fair today!!
Our students loved spending the day at the fair riding rides and petting the animals!!
Yesterday, Fairview Alpha's 3rd graders had the chance to discover the history behind their hometown of Natchitoches! They toured the Sports Hall of Fame, the Lemee House, Prudhomme-Rouquier house, various historical churches and more! Be sure to ask your in-home historian what they learned about the city of lights!

6th grade attended the Forestry Awareness field trip today. It taught us about forestry preservation, nature facts, and repopulating our forests.

The Natchitoches Parish Library Bookmobile is back at Fairview Alpha again and we are so excited!!! Students have the opportunity to check out books every two weeks.
In PE, the past few weeks have consisted of learning a lost skill in todays time: Archery
FAE teachers are on track to making this year the most successful year ever!!!! Our instruction specialist,Lauren Eloi, is leading the charge to make sure that the teachers instructional strategies are aligned with the NIET rubric. Our teachers continue to have “A HA” moments when they realize that they are already meeting the needs of ALL students. FAE is on the move!!!
Sixth grade math students explored ratios today by mixing blue and yellow water to create green. They were given the ratio for one batch of water and had to work together to find equivalent ratios and mixed their new ratio to see if the shade of green was the same as the original batch.
